New Baby!

My last post was a belly session and now we get to meet the little one! The baby was one week old, and I came over to their home and spent some time taking pictures. It was so wonderful seeing a new baby again! With a new baby you want to get pictures taken but don't necessarily want to leave your home, this is the best of both worlds. It was very difficult to narrow it down but here are a few of my favorites...

Belly Session

My best friends in Corning are having a baby and now that she is nearing her due date we met in Centennial park where they got married and in their home to take some portraits of her beautiful belly! Here are a few of my favorites...

This is such a magical time and I wish I had done portraits with my first - if you are expecting think about scheduling a session near your due date!

Lauren and John Engagement Session

In the fall I photographed baby Liam, and then I was contacted by his soon to be Aunt to photograph her wedding! I met John and Lauren at Elmira College around Cowles Hall to do their engagement session. Though it was a bit cold it was a warm enough day to go coatless, and we got some great shots! It was hard to narrow down, but here are a few of my favorites...

Siecieska Family

I have been photographing Bristol since she was only a few weeks old. She is growing up so fast and now she has a baby brother on the way! I came to their home one night for a quick family session before they took the tree down since we missed a fall session this year. Here are a few of my favorites, they happen to all be black and white...

Michelle and Dave's Wedding

Michelle and Dave got married in an incredibly cute little church in Northern Pennsylvania. The reception was in the basement. It was the perfect setting for a country wedding right before Christmas with the snow falling everywhere.  They utilized pine in the flowers and centerpieces and we took most of the family portraits in front of the Christmas tree that was set up in the front of the church. You may recall Michelle from the boudoir session a couple months ago, and it was great to see her again! Here are a few of my favorites...

Olivia Act - Free Session nominations

The Olivia Act, named after one of the children killed in Newtown, Ct., was started by a photographer who wishes to be anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken.

I will be taking nominations for a family who you think would deserve a session. This session will take place after the New Year at a time that works with the family and myself. I will be taking Nominations until December 31st . Please email me their name, contact information (email and phone number) and a brief summary of why you chose them too: putting "THE OLIVIA ACT NOMINATION" in the subject line. The chosen family will be contacted via email or phone call. Please do not post their information here. The gift is a session and a collection of digital portraits, so they may have priceless keepsakes to adorn their home. Please share this status. Thank you. ♥
